In my article today, I'm going to show you how to use the shortcut key and its 4 deleted options for Excel users to select according to his/her aspects.

All the 4 options are as following;


Delete "Shift cell left"

Delete "Shift cell up"

Delete "Entire row"

Delete "Entire column"


Notify:

Please use it with care, it may cause your related data, such as formulas, table,  border...

In case of wanting to resume your last action, you can redo (Ctrl + Y) and undo (Ctrl + Z) to fix it.

My article consists of 4 parts.

Refer to the shortcut from the 2nd part, here I'll describe and also show you all 4 purposes of deleting works.

Figure number 1. This is the scenario figure that I have prepared for you to be understood more easily.

It contains the 10 rows and 5 columns. In the mid, cell d5:d7, is the mark for future proceeding the "Ctrl" + "-".

Let' have a look the figure no.2 below, once I have pressed the "Ctrl" + "-" buttons, the square box " Delete?" will instantly show as you can see it in the image.

Then, I have selected the choice "Shift cells left"

Figure no. 3 shows us the result after I clicked on the "OK" button. The 3 cells from left columns move to replace the previous cells d3:d7.

Let's move to figure no. 4. In this image, I have selected the round checkbox "Shift cells up".

Figure no. 5. You can see the result after I deleted by "Shif cells up". The figure explains it very well, right?

Figure no. 6 below shows us how to delete by the "Entire row".

What's the figure no. 7 tell us. Good job! The row no. 4-6 have gone.

This is the last deleting aspects. It's the "Entire column" delete.

Hooyah, the entire column no. 3 has been disappeared. And the meantime, all the columns from the left moved and replaced respectively.
